NOTICE OF RACE
Olympiajol Eurocup 2010
The Eurocup Olympiajollen Class will be held from 21 until August 27, at Lake Como Italy near Bellano
Registration 21 and August 22, 2010
Races: 23 to August 27, 2010
The organizing authorities are:

supported by the International Union District Olympiajollen Netherlands (IOUH).
1 RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 Reserve.
1.3 The ‘Rules for Championships Sailing and Windsurfing’ will apply.
1.4 The sailing instructions.
1.5 The Classrules of the IOUH
1.6 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.

3 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
3.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the Olympiajollen class.
Participation entitled boats with a valid measurement certificate from their national authority and participants with valid Licenses
3.2 Registration must be made through the site:

3.3 Closure of registration : August 23 11.00 hr
4 CLASSIFICATION
The ISAF Sailor Classification Code will apply.
5 FEES
5.1 The entry fee for registration and payment before June 1, 2010
is € 100.00
After this date the fee is € 150.00

August 22 Registration 10.00 to 12.00 hours
Alternative Practice / Promorace 13:00 hours

1st Warning Signal each day at 12.55 hours.
August 27 Price giving and closing ceremony.

The race commitee may change the above schedule.
The start (s) of the next race (s) will as soon as possible after the finish of the previous race .
Extra races a day, or reserveday, may be caught up on condition that the class comes before on the schedule for no more than one race.
The reserve day will be used if the class is back on the schedule for 2 or more races.
8 MEASUREMENTS
Each boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate, and participate in a measurement of his/her boat and equipment. Measurement checks may also take place at the water immediately after a race.
9 SAILINGINSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions can be distributed on August 21 at 17:00
11 THE COURSES
The courses will be displayed in or attached to the sailing instructions
12 PENALTY SYSTEM
A boat that has taken a penalty under rule 31.2 or 44.1, must fill in an admitform at the race office within the protest time limit.
As described in rule 67, a protest committee, may punish a boat without trial,that has violated Rule 42.
13.1 "Low Points System" will apply.
13.2 Four races have been completed for the Eurocup series to be valid.
13.3 a. When fewer than five races have been completed, the series score of a boat is the total of her race scores.
b. When 5 to 10 races have been completed, the series score of a boat is the total of her race scoreminus the worst score.
14 SUPPORT BOATS
Official boats will be identifiable by having a flag with the letters RC or J. The startingvessel is recognized by the ”IOUH” flag.
15 BERTHING
Boats shall be kept in their, by the “Beachmasters” assigned places.

18 RADIO COMMUNICATION
A boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.
19 PRIZES
There are prizes for the five highest ranked boats in the final standings of the series.
The overall winning boat acquires the title of "Winner Eurocup 2010, and the corresponding cup.
There are also three additional "60 + prices for the best 3 participants born before August 23, 1950.
20 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
21 INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of Euro 500.000 per event or the equivalent.
